ThumbsUp

elledning

The ThumbsUp project facilitate the development of innovative, thermal energy storage technologies that can easily be integrated into buildings to increase their energy efficiency and grid flexibility.

Johanneberg Science Park is coordinating the northern demonstration site where the solution will be tested att the HSB Living Lab.

A consortium of 20 organisations from across europe is lead by Veolia Espania and brings together leaders in thermal energy storage research, innovative technology development and thermal storage manufacturing companies to deliver cutting edge thermal energy storage at three demonstration sites from northern and southern europe.

ThumbsUp aims to overcome the limitations of existing building-integrated technologies by increasing energy density and reducing the intensity factors of capital investment in this sector. The project will promote complementary digital innovations aimed at simulating, optimising and maximising the technical, operational and economic benefits of the proposed storage solutions.
